We appreciated the fresh fruit and bottled water in the room, as well the fruit, coffee and mini pastries in the lobby in the morning. We definitely recommend Nightshade Inn & Gardens! Delicious dinner and dessert in the restaurant, wonderful view from the Shepherd Suite, friendly staff, nice shared coffee and tea bar. Very quiet all weekend, even with a wedding happening.

The Morgan State House Inn is an elegantly restored 19th century building. It is located in the Washington Park Historic District and is close to many of Albany’s downtown attractions. We ended our 12 day bike ride of the Erie Canal Trail from Buffalo in Albany and the Morgan Stale House was the perfect place to wrap it up for two nights. The hotel has a lovely old style feel but is fully functional with spacious comfortable rooms and attractive shared spaces. It is right on a lovely park and close to restaurants

The property was very historic and stayed true to the history. There was beautiful artwork on the walls and beautiful antique furniture everywhere, including the rooms. There are no TVs in the rooms which, to me, was what I was looking for. They had board games, a big common table to eat at and a bar run on very informally. I felt like I was visiting family.
