Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Mitsubikiya features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. The air-conditioned accommodation is 800 metres from Matsumoto Station. Struttura tradizionale curata, pulita e accogliente, in una posizione ottima per raggiungere in pochi minuti a piedi tutti i punti di interesse di Matsumoto. La colazione tradizionale era buonissima, così come la cena che abbiamo prenotato in anticipo. Era la prima volta che alloggiavamo in una struttura tradizionale giapponese: abbiamo trovato i futon molto comodi. I bagni sono in comune, ma molto comodi e puliti. La struttura fornisce pigiami e pantofole. Insomma, consigliamo assolutamente!!

Located in the historical Shibu Onsen district, 渋温泉小石屋旅館 offers both private and dormitory-style guest rooms as well as an on-site restaurant where local dishes, wines and craft beers are available. Great location at the heart of ryokan alley, very hospitable hosts that can shuttle you from the Yudanaka Station to their place free of charge (prior reservation needed), nice cozy restaurant with kotatsu (very relevant when it is cold), comfortable ryokan with lots of space and a gas heater. The host was shinning and always smiling, it gave us good mood for two days. Also she helped us out with the reservation for the onsen and gave us a ride to that place and brought us back in an hour. Shibu Onsen Koishiya Ryokan are the best and we will definitely stay here if we ever come back to Japan again. ps we also left some chocolate from our country and asked them to pin it on their big wall in their cafe. we hope you liked the chocolate!

Struttura molto bella, personale gentilissimo e disponibile. La nostra camera era un appartamento composto da stanza da letto con futon, ampio soggiorno e terrazzo. La camera aveva un arredamento un po’ datato ma comunque confortevole e spaziosa. Bella Onsen. Per la cena e colazione avevamo uno spazio tutto nostro ed è stato tutto magnifico per l’attenzione che il personale ci ha riservato. A 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Yorozuya features hot spring baths, a hot tub and Japanese-style rooms with a private terrace and private bathroom. Really nice and friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms. Generous breakfasts and dinners with daily changing menues - the wagyu meat was especially good! Private spa with finnish sauna, steam bath, onsen water, cold bath, outside area and even a massage seat and included drinks was bookable for a small fee. Free coffee and tea available in the lounge (tea also in the room). Convenient shuttle service to the train station.

Situato a soli 5 minuti a piedi dallo storico Santuario Togakushi, in una tranquilla zona di montagna, l'Oshi Ryokan, caratterizzato da un edificio principale con tetto in paglia risalente a 250 anni... Felt instantly comfortable and at home. Beautiful old building. Wonderful staff and food!

Situato a soli 10 minuti di auto dallo Snow Monkey Park, lo Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya offre semplici sistemazioni in stile giapponese con connessione WiFi gratuita. We stayed at many ryokans on our trip. None came close to Yamazakiya. The host family are friendly beyond belief, always smiling, always helpful. We got a free pick-up from the train, drop-off to the train and round trip to the snow monkey park. The place is cute, we had a huge room with fluffy, comfy tatami beds and a sitting area. Everyone got yukatas to wear around the house. It's a small place with two private onsens and we were easily able to book both for an hour for our group of four, giving us the chance to try two different rooms. We had messaged ahead to book dinner (good English spoken), a vegetarian option was no problem and my, what a treat we got. It must have been 10+ little courses, fine dining at its best. All around, highly, highly recommended! If you enter through the front door, don't forget to take a stroll out the back door - it leads straight onto the village's main street, filled with many cute, ancient houses.

A 3-minute walk from Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Kadowakikan features ski-to-door access, a hot spring bath and free WiFi. Everything about this hotel is awesome. If you want an authentic Japanese experience with a super friendly and helpful host I would really recommend this hotel to you. The location is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the onsen downstairs is great, I could keep on going, its all superb.

Situato a 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria di Yudanaka, lo Yudanaka Tawaraya Ryokan offre sistemazioni in stile giapponese con connessione WiFi gratuita e TV a schermo piatto, un servizio... The service as this Ryokan was 10/10, and was the most authentic one we stayed in during our 4 weeks in Japan. The staff were so lovely, and spoke great English. They showed us to our room, and gave us essentially a "room tour" whilst we drank complimentary tea. They gave us a map with nearby restaurants and ammenties noted on it. The private outdoor onsen was SO nice! You book a slot upon arrival, which you can access in the evening with 30 min slots. The onsen was large and the perfect contrast with the fresh cool air in the evening. Yukatas were provided for us as an option to wear around the hotel - both my partner and I are bigger than the average Japanese person (Wife is plus size, I am 6ft 2) and we both comfortably fit into the ones picked out for us. The only thing that threw us was that during breakfast, they cleared the beds from our room - had we known people would go in, we'd probably have neatened the room a bit haha! P.S don't skip the sushi restaurant a few doors down from the hotel. The sushi was EXQUISITE and they even have a phonetic Japanese to English page at the front so you can have a go at ordering properly with the chef.
